Hotel Rokuanhovi is a heartfelt retreat nestled on the shores of crystal-clear Lake Jaakonjärvi, in the heart of the nature-sculpted Rokua Geopark area. When you book the hotel, the entire place is reserved exclusively for you and your group – whether you’re 10 or 48 guests!

Here, surrounded by four lakes and embraced by the peaceful wilderness of Rokua National Park, you’re invited to leave the everyday behind and reconnect with nature. Time slows down, your breath deepens, and your mind finds rest – season after season.

Our cozy and welcoming hotel offers a comfortable base in the middle of exceptionally pure nature. Each room is simply yet beautifully furnished, featuring everything you need for a pleasant stay: a TV, writing desk, private sitting area, and en-suite bathroom with a shower. Free WiFi keeps you connected to the outside world – if you wish.

In winter, Rokua transforms into a magical wonderland: snow-covered trees, silent trails, and the Northern Lights dancing across the night sky create an unforgettable atmosphere. Here, you can experience the essence of a true Nordic winter – far from noise and rush, wrapped in white serenity. After a day of adventure, the hotel’s warm evening sauna awaits.

In summer and autumn, Rokua delights all senses with peaceful landscapes, rich colors, and gentle warmth. Long days invite you to hike along scenic ridges and forest trails that lead you deeper into wilderness. In autumn, the forest offers treasures – plump porcini mushrooms and berries hidden in soft moss. As the day ends, take a refreshing dip in the lake from your own quiet sandy beach, as the sun sets behind the trees and the sky glows in shades of evening.

  • The lakeside sauna is not part of the licensed serving area, so you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy. Please remember to bring your own towels. A small fridge is available to keep your refreshments cool, and a cozy fireplace adds to the relaxing atmosphere between sauna sessions. If you plan to enjoy your own snacks or meals, kindly bring the necessary tableware with you as well.

Väentupa Meeting & Event Cottage

  • This charming cottage-style venue, located right in the courtyard of Rokuanhovi, is perfect for both celebrations and meetings. Väentupa comfortably seats up to 30 people for meetings and is equipped with a projector and sound system. The space is part of our licensed serving area, so food and drinks can be provided on site.

Väentupa Saunas

  • 500 €/evening (includes 2 hours of heating time)
  • Final cleaning available for 100€
  • Väentupa offers separate private saunas for women and men, available for your group’s use until 3:00 AM. Please remember to bring your own towels. There is also a cozy fireplace lounge – a warm and inviting space for relaxed evening gatherings. The Väentupa area is part of the licensed serving area, so bringing your own alcoholic beverages is not permitted. If you bring your own food to enjoy, please also bring the necessary tableware with you.

Location

Peaceful and quiet, right in the heart of the national park. Close to the hotel, you’ll also find ten small cabins and a caravan area, all part of the Rokuanhovi grounds.

Twelve of hotel rooms have been renovated in Scandinavian style, while twelve have retained their original, classic charm. Your stay includes a traditional Rokuanhovi breakfast featuring porridge, a warm dish of the day, a selection of breads, cold cuts, fresh vegetables, yogurt or curd, coffee or tea and juice.

Our accommodation is designed for a peaceful and private stay, with no daily housekeeping or linen changes – allowing you to truly unwind in your own rhythm. Rooms are simply furnished for a comfortable experience and include a television, writing desk, and private bathroom with a shower. Free WiFi is available whenever you wish to stay connected.
