My Roots, Your Experience – The Story of Lake Oulu Luxury Hideouts
I’m a native of Vaala – the quiet pine forests and the shores of this great lake are part of who I am. They were part of my childhood adventures, my safe haven in youth and the source of peace in my adult life. To me, the nature of Lake Oulujärvi is more than a landscape – it is home. It is everyday luxury you can feel in the silence, see in the sunset, and breathe in the pure forest air.
When I founded Lake Oulu Luxury Hideouts, I wanted to share all of this. I wanted travellers to experience the authenticity of nature and the local way of life. For us, luxury means space to breathe, time to simply be and small details that feel big because they are real. Our kind of luxury doesn’t glitter. It’s a quiet morning on a misty lakeshore, the warmth of the sauna, the crackle of a campfire. It’s a chance to slow down and feel more like yourself again.
This business comes from the heart. We want to bring vitality, work and well-being to the Lake Oulujärvi and Rokua region – but not at any cost. We aim to do it professionally, on nature’s terms, responsibly and with respect for our community. We believe that when tourism is sustainable, it enriches everyone – both guests and locals alike.
